New Zealand textile artist with a difference!

Ellen Whitlock has spent most of her adult life learning the techniques and skills of yarns and textiles. She is an accomplished quilter, who has left the realm of patterns and designs made by others - she now concentrates entirely on making textile art.

For most of her pieces Ellen starts with white fabric and dyes it herself and often also paints images or textures on it. She then cuts, stitches or quilts it onto a backing to produce an artwork in many layers. Ellen's works are enhanced by embroidery, pleating, tiny glass beads or overlays of netting and all are inspired by her own imagination, by nature and her life experience.

All Ellen's featured works have a channel for inserting a hanging rod and will be safely packaged according to her instructions.

We ship on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, or the next day if it is a Public Holiday.
